Kim Van Fleet banded 7 owls on Saturday night and Dave banded 7 owls Sunday night with 1 foreign recapture and 1 recapture with a telemetry device from Scott Weidensaul.
According to Scott, the telemetry device will track the owls movement for a year or so. It is hoped the owl will be recaptured so that the telemetry data can be retrieved and processed. This will provide important information about the owls habitat. This owl was banded the first week of November at Kings Gap and has flown here to be recaptured by Dave. That would indicate a mostly East movement of the owl onto the Front so that is something to consider.
