The Universtiy of Wisconsin sponsors "The Internet Scout Project" that produces a weekly report of websites they have found on the web that promote learning in a variety of areas.  I have found some great nature and environmental websties in their reports and have included them here.  I highly recommend this site for any area of education you would like to explore.

The Internet Scout Report...   This site is a project of the Universtiy of Wisconsin that finds quality educational and informational websites for educators and learners on the web.  These sites are often very specific in their focus and use but they find some great resurces for wildlife and environmental topics.   http://scout.wisc.edu/index.php

Journey North: A Global Study of Wildlife Migration...  This site sponsored by Annenberg Media. Journey North engages students in a global study of wildlife migration and seasonal change. K-12 students share their own field observations with classmates across North America. They track the coming of spring through the migration patterns birds and mammals; the budding of plants; changing sunlight; and other natural events. Find migration maps, picture, lesson plans, activities and information to help students make local observations and fit them into a global context. Widely considered a best-practices model for education, Journey North is the nation's premiere "citizen science" project for children. The general public is welcome to participate. http://www.learner.org/jnorth/
